Standard reports and Extraction tools

Within WorkCentre are a set of standard system reports that are provided with the software. These reports support the transactional processes and applications that function as a basic framework for managing the processing of information on a daily basis. In addition Coresoft provides the flexibility to use different reporting technologies with Coresoft to meet the overall reporting requirements of your organisation.

An effective and easy tool for simple data extraction is List extraction, which can then be used in communications or bulk transaction processes. It is a basic entry level tool where almost no training operators can get a list of customers using their own criteria.

Crystal Reports

Crystal is one of the most widely used reporting tools and is a great tool to use for the presentation of data. Crystal is best used for simple column style reports, where presentation is important and can be linked directly into the Coresoft application. However, this software requires users to have an understanding of data tables.

The more complex the query, the more difficult it becomes. Most of the objection to crystal is where people try to make crystal do more complex queries and this can be avoided with data warehouses.

Stored Queries

Stored queries are suitable as a quick SQL tool to get data in / out or to change data in bulk. They are also ideal for a quick proof of concept development that is eventually converted into a more robust report or program that a user can use.

Users are able to manipulate data easily, but obtaining the data or performing complex queries requires SQL knowledge.
